Happy 11th Birthday Harly Dawn!

Harly turned 11 on April 19th. She was very excited about her birthday and had many gifts on her list. i-pod, bike, sunglasses and anything else she can think of. All she got for now was clothes and shoes! Our family is taking a trip to Flagstaff for mine and her birthdays...so Mall here we come!!

For her special day mom and dad took her out to dinner to Trailriders. She couldn't wait, because this was her first time eating there.

Getting presents in the mail is always exciting. This one came from Grandma & Grandpa Wellman.

Thanks for the lipgloss and nail polish!

And thanks Mom for my really cute cardigans...can't wait to wear them!

Happy Birthday Harly! Mom and Dad love you very much. You are a special girl and a big help to your little brothers and sisters. Heavenly Father is proud of the choices you make and we are lucky to have you as a daughter!

MacKenzie's School Program

While I was in Kansas City, MacKenzie had a class concert. I hate that I had to miss it. I asked Dayson to take pictures for me and this was all I got. Grandma Merrill did her hair so cute and Dayson said she did a good job. Your a cute girl Kenzie, mommy loves you!

Court of Honor

After seven months of not having a Court of Honor, the boys finally received their advancements and badges. Adam watched his brothers while getting dressed and had to put on his cubscout uniform to go with us. Court of honor was held in the chapel because of dance festival practice. So no pictures during the ceremony but we took some out in the hall. Carson finally received his 2nd class and 1st class and should be getting his Star this summer. Clayton finally was given his Star and should have his Life by the next Court of Honor, if they don't wait another 7 months. Both Clayton and Carson earned at least 8 badges this time around. And will have more to come this summer with Scout Camp. The boys are really excited to attend!

No More Braces!

The Doctor said Clayton's teeth straightened up faster than they had anticipated, so they made him a retainer and off came the braces. He is so happy to finally have them gone. He now has a permanent bottom retainer and a removable top retainer. The bottom one stays on for 2 years. The top one for 6 months and than every night for the rest of his life. Before

We had to do some celebrating, so we went to Arby's for lunch. Aarron and Adam having a good time with their big brother! After He was so embarrased to take his picture because all the high school girls had walked in for lunch.

Kansas City, Missouri

The Director of Head Start asked me to go to Kansas City, Missouri with him and two others. We went for a National Head Start Association Convention just like the one I went to in West Virginia. I wasn't going to go unless I had someone who could help Dayson out with the kids, so we asked Grandma & Grandpa Merrill to come hang out for the week.

My first stop was Flagstaff, that is were I flew out of. I stayed at the Little America Hotel and it is my favorite one to stay at because I feel like a princess when I'm there. The rooms are decorated with a girl in mind. It would be the perfect girls night getaway!!

The bed, pillows and sheets are sooo comfy!
Here is the airplane I flew in from Flagstaff to Phoenix. I do not like this kind of airplane...to scary for me!
This is the hotel I stayed at in Kansas City. It was not as nice as Little America but perfect for my stay.
The second day we were there we went to a Royal's Baseball game. It made me miss the Diamondback Season tickets we used to have.
I loved the big "crown" t.v. screen in the outfield.
I had one of the guys take my picture with my phone so I could show the boys back home all the fun I was having!
The food in Kansas City was delicious and expensive. We were told to eat barbeque so we found this hole in the wall place and the food was amazing.

This was the pulled pork sandwich I ordered. Not even a sandwich at all...I only ate the meat because the bread was too soggy! This was by far my most favorite meal!
On another night I tried something new again. Chicken and Waffles! It was also delicious. It is layered with Belgian waffles, mashed potatoes, chicken breast, strawberry butter and syrup on the side. I couldn't eat the whole thing because it was so big!
This is the view from our Hotel. Kansas City was a very clean town. I was very impressed with the old buildings and all they had to offer.

I am so grateful for the chance I had to go to Kansas City and I am also grateful for Dayson for letting me have these once in a life time opportunities!

Track & Basketball

Clayton and Carson are doing track this year together. They both are participating in the High Jump. Here goes Clayton...I could never time the jump to get a picture that was good enough.

Carson took 1st place in his group! Their coach is really good with the kids. Here he is talking with Clayton and Carson after they were done competing.

Carson and Harly are both doing little league Basketball.
