Dayson and I have not been on a REAL family vacation in 5 years!
This year we took advantage of his paid vacation and went on an 8 day, 2500 mile journey through the Western United States.
Our first stop Disneyland! During our 10 hour drive to Anaheim, California, we of course had to stop at the gigantic dinosaurs (a tradition for our family). The kids were glad to be out of the car and see the attractions...except Adam of course. He didn't want anything to do with the dinosaur and wanted back in the car. We forced him in one picture with the kids and than he was glad to be back on the road again.
There is no way he would have done this picture without dad.
Finally, we arrived to our Castle. The kids were so excited for our two bedroom suite with the pull out couch. It wasn't as nice as it sounds, but that's what you get with a highly traveled and tourist place.

When we first got to Disneyland we headed straight for Fantasy Land. Doing the little kid rides first was the best idea. After 10:00 the lines were super long. After too many slow rides we took the big kids to Matter Horn. I didn't think they would let Adam on the ride but he passed! He was terrified, but never cried.
(Because we had two different cameras my pictures are a little out of order.)
This was Adam's and Aarron's favorite ride. They were so excited to see Buzz Lightyear.

We stood in line for thirty minutes to see the princess fairies while Dayson and the older kids went off in different directions.
(it would have been nice if the lady taking the picture would have waited for my eyes to be open, oh well.)
Finally, they got to see Tinker Bell. A thirty minute wait for a 30 second visit and picture! But it's what they wanted the most, even Aarron wanted to meet the fairies.

Mom and the girls. They were very picky on what horse they rode. I had to talk up each one and say how pretty it was and it matched their outfits! Gotta love girls!

On every fast ride Aarron would cover his ears and leaves his eyes wide open. He gets this from his Aunt Kelly!

We had such a good time at Disneyland. There are no pics of us in Toon Town for one reason and that's because Aarron was "lost" and we spent 30 minuted looking for him while the kids stood in line at the roller coaster. When Dayson found him in the road by the Matter Horn, he asked him if he was scared that he was lost and Aarron said: "I wasn't lost, I was going to the bathroom". Later I asked him if he was scarred and if anyone talked to him and he said: "The worker asked me if I was lost and I said no, my parents are right behind me." What a little stinker! After losing kids more than once in the last 13 years, I wasn't even scared. I figured he's the one who walked away from us and he had a destination in mind. It was just a matter of finding where it was.
Later that night I took the little kids back to the Castle and Dayson took the older 3 back to Disneyland for some last minute roller coaster rides. They returned around 12:30 am and we left California around 7:00 or 8:00 the next morning.
