February

Clayton, Carson and Harly played basketball for school this year but I only managed to get Harly's picture taken. She did such a good job this year. Carson also did a good job on his team. They made it to the first round of playoffs.

This year for Valentine's Day the little kids had parties in their classes and the big kids helped them with their cards.
Dayson even got me a "Rock" valentine and brought flowers to my work.

Daycee came home with a special valentine from a boy in her class. She was so proud of it. She ended up giving him the chocolate rose that was meant for her teacher aide!

Daycee was the only one this year who had to do a science project. She did the whole thing by herself. She came up with the idea, typed up her report and put everything on the poster board. What a good little girl she is! I wished I would have let all of my kids take responsibility for their own project....what was I thinking?!!!

Clayton had a basketball banquet where they were recognized by their coach. His coach was his Uncle John. Clayton was a key player on his team this year and was given a lot of responsibility because of the size of their team. They only had 6 or 7 boys on the freshmen team.

Nephi Valentine Lawlor...aka Grandpa

This picture was taken at the Lawlor Christmas party 2011
(for some reason Harly is not in this picture)

Dayson's Grandpa Lawlor passed away January 26th and his funeral was Saturday February 2nd.
The services were very sweet and full of kids. 184 to be exact! Dayson's grandparents have 10 children and together they have 78 grandchildren. Now that most of the 78 grandchildren are adults and have families of their own there are 184 great grandkids. There have not been any great great grand kids yet but that isn't far off from happening!

The oldest grandson from each child's family was chosen to the pall bearers. Dayson is actually the 2nd oldest son in his family but his older brother died when he was just six years old. So Dayson had the honor of being the pall bearer from his family. All of the other grandson's were the honorary pall bearers.

I love these pictures! It shows how much love and respect we have for our family members.

After the funeral we went back to the church for the luncheon and took lots of pictures.
This one is of Dayson's family. All of his brothers and sisters are here. DeLona's husband and younger kids are the only ones that couldn't make it. It was fun to see DeLona and spend time with her for the day.

Adam's 5th Birthday

Adam turned 5 years old on January 30th.
We had birthday cake and opened presents.
He was so excited and waited all day for his little party!

We went to Peter Piper Pizza with our families in Mesa on Feb 2nd. Adam had been looking forward to this day all week. He couldn't wait to do skeet ball and win tickets to buy some prizes with!

Harly won the jackpot and got 1000 tickets...she was so excited and got lots of fun prizes!

Clayton and Carson also got a jackpot...366 tickets!
It looks like Carson has pizza all over his face but his nose is just really red and dry from his head cold.
Adam got Nash a soccer ball for his birthday....it's coming up on the 10th!

Aunt Anna brought cupcakes for Adam and the little kids. He loved the frosting and went to church with a blue stained face the next morning!!

Basketball Camp

Round Valley High School put on a basketball camp for grades 2nd-8th. Aarron, Daycee and Carson all went and participated.

Aarron loved every bit of it. He wasn't quite old enough to go, but they made an exception for him.

Clayton was helping out with one of the centers and he is watching while Aarron shoots!

Random stuff in 2012

December was full of random moments

And this was his best friend Bubba. He moved to Show Low before Christmas vacation

Grandma & Grandpa Merrill came to visit our house and brought Aarron his birthday present.

He loves his new camping chair!

Carson was excited to show Grandpa his white tail buck that he shot!

Grandpa showed the kids how to throw a fit on the ground...they got a kick out of it!

It was fun to see them for a day!

Aarron wanted to have an arm wrestling contest with his sisters.
