Clayton turned 14 years old on September 12th. We had some family and friends over the night before for cake & ice cream. Rita's family, Becky's family, Ginger's family and Mandy's family all came to celebrate.
Mandy and Richie's oldest son Keenan turned 14 the day after Clayton, so we had a doube celebration. Keenan will be in 9th grade with Clayton next year, I am so glad he has such a good friend to go to high school with.
On the night of his birthday we had our own family celebration. I had taken Clayton earlier that day to Show Low for some birthday shopping. Konstantin came along too. Clayton picked out a new pair of tennis shoes and some Wii games. We also gave him one of our extra cell phones for a trial run to see how he does with a cell phone. So far, so good!
Clayton will be ordained to the office of a Teacher this Sunday. We are so proud of him and the good choices he makes. He loves his seminary class and reads the Old Testament every day. He is growing up and learning how to be a good example to his little brothers and sisters. He is playing football for the 8th grade team this year and has already made 4 touchdowns in the past few games.
Our family
Lighting the candles. It so good to have dad home for this occasion. He has been working so much lately that we hardly see him. But now that summer is coming to an end he won't have to work so much overtime. YEAH!
Good job Clayton! Mom and Dad love you very much.
