Graduation & Birthday Celebration

Last Friday we traveled to Phoenix for Glenn's college graduation ceremony. We stopped in Fountain Hills and checked into our hotel room. Than the kids went swimming with Dayson while I got a pedicure! It was hot but not as hot as I anticipated. The graduation started at 6:00 and we arrived around 5:30 waiting and visiting with our family.

We came back home Saturday afternoon because Dayson had to work. On Sunday our family, along with Rita and Becky's famiy, celebrated what would have been my sister's 37th birthday.

Kendall made these super cute cupcakes!

Deanna passed away 15 years ago this August. Tostados was her favorite Mexican food. And that is what we ate for dinner at my mom's house the Sunday before she died. I was 8 months pregnant and she was about 4 or 5 months pregnant. She asked me to make her tostado for her so I did. When I went to give it to her she told me to go back and put more sour cream on it! Without hesitation I did, not knowing it would be the last time I would serve her! She was such a fun sister and I miss her a lot. I dreamed about her the other night...something I haven't done in over 10 years. I can't wait for our sweet sister reunion someday!

A BUSY Father's Day Weekend

Aarron had his last baseball game on Thursday. He hit the ball twice and made it all the way to 2nd base. Good job Aarron!!

Adam & Kristie and Sean & Christine came to our house Friday night for MacKenzie's baptism. The kids stayed up late playing Wii and watching movies. There was 17 kids and 6 adults in our house. We had a great time!

Saturday morning we woke up at 4:30 am to take my dad fishing for Father's Day. We took all of our kids and my mom and headed up to Big Lake.

It was fun to be fishing with my dad...I don't ever remember doing it when I was little, but I'm sure we did. Now I have the best memory of fishing with my dad, mom, Dayson and our kids!

After getting home from fishing we went to the church to set up for MacKenzie's baptism.

All of our family came in to town for Kenzie's special day.

MacKenzie's 8th Birthday

MacKenzie turned 8 years old on June 10th. It landed on a Sunday so the night before we took her out for her special day. She first opened a present from Harly and got this super cute headband!

Kenzie chose Dairy Queen for her special place. She was so excited to get a blizzard but wanted to take it home to show it off to her brothers and sisters!

Sunday morning came and she could hardly wait to open her presents!

First she opened up her BB gun....the usual 8 year old birthday present!

Her first set of scriptures with her name engraved and a cute scripture case!

After church we went up the mountain to sing "Happy Birthday" and shoot our BB gun's.

Aarron shooting the balloons we brought...it sounded really cool. After it was popped it made a loud sound that echoed thru the woods and sounded like a rifle was shot!

Carson and Harly helping light the candle

After eating cupcakes and ice cream we played a game of softball/T ball/baseball!

Harly up to bat

Clayton pitching and Carson playing outfield

Adam's turn to hit....he likes to hit the T and whisper, "hey batter batter, hey batter batter"...than he swings!

He' off to first!

Home Run!

Tuesday night was her interview with the Bishop... when he called her back to his office she said, "come on Mom". But I told her she had to go by herself...silly girl!
We can't wait for MacKenzie to be baptized this Saturday with most of our family coming to town!
