Memorial Day

The kids and I made a trip to Show Low for Memorial Day. My grandparents have a home in a retirement trailer park down the street from Wal-Mart, so we went to clean up the winter wrath before they made their trip up for the summer. Raking pine needles and sweeping the porch off is all we needed to do. One of the younger neighbors had started on the pine needles so we didn't have as much work as we anticipated.

After cleaning we walked down to the pond and thru some rocks, took a picture and then off to Wal-Mart for dad's birthday shopping.

After Wal-Mart we went to the movies to watch Kung Fu Panda 2. I don't take the kids that often because it's so expensive. It cost us $48 just for tickets and that was the matinee price. But it was worth it. We had such a good time. I just wish Dayson was there with us, but he was working overtime to earn extra money for our family vacation in August.

We went to the movie yesterday too! Which theater did you go to? We were at SL at 3:00, but my kids watched Pirates and Brian and I watched Thor.

I'm glad you could go and take your kids. I'm sure they were quite excited! I don't think I would take my kids very often either if it cost us $48! But what a treat for them!
