4th of July Celebration

Going to the 4th of July parade is a must in our town. It's the biggest event of the year next to the football game against St. John's. All of the kids getting together with their cousins and friends.

And the parade begins....

It is such a great feeling to be able to stand with your hand on your heart while the American Flag goes by. One of the things I want my kids to learn, is how to respect and love our counrties symbol of Freedom.

I have always had a special place in my heart for the Veterans Float. Maybe it's because my dad and grandfathers are veterans of war and I am so proud of them.

Courtney and Kendall enjoying the parade together

Adam was doing really good at the parade, you can tell he is a little nervous right now.

Harly and Jenna

Jersy, Adam, Nash, Jagger and Aarron waiting to collect candy from the floats.

Daycee begged me to be on our ward primary float. I didnt' want her to miss out on being with family and having to sit in the sun for an hour, but she insisted so I gave in. She was so proud and had the best "Miss America" wave!

Carson on the "All Star" float.

Clayton opted out, he told me that he's always on a float and just wants to watch this year.

After the parade was over we went to Andrea and David's cabin in Greer. We had lunch and went for a drive and a walk.

The kids found this snake and Zack picked it up to tease the little girls.

The boys loved it!

Taking a break at the Little Colorado River in Greer

This was the perfect way to end a weekend of fun with family!
