Science Fair, Dancing & Scout Boy!
This year the science fair was about 3 months early. It took me by surprise when Harly told me on Saturday that her science project was due on Tuesday. So we got to work and she did most everything by herself. With the help of Carson, who made the paper airplanes, she was able to complete her project by Monday night. Her project was "which paper airplane flies the longest distance". She took 2nd place in her class and was very proud of herself. Thank goodness she was the only one to have to do a science project this year!

Frebruary
We have had so much going on in February that it's flying by. Clayton has already had several basketball games and I finally got around to taking some pictures. Actually Dayson took these for me.
Getting ready for an inbound pass
Harly and Daycee had a Daddy, Daughter Date...they had a blast! This is Daycee's first one since she just turned 8. She loves Activity Days and is so eager to work on her "Faith in God" book.
Dayson had to go on duty, but at least he made it!

The weather has been so gorgeous that I decided to go with Dayson to Alpine for a windshied he had to replace. We took Aarron, Daycee and Adam with us. Aarron kept searching for the perfect tree to climb. This was the best he could find so I sent Daycee to take a picture.

Harly also had her class music program this week. I went to the practice session at her school because I was part of a fashion show for Relief Society that night.

Adam's 3rd Birthday!
Daycee's Special Day!
On Saturday January 29, 2011 Daycee was baptizeda member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had lots of support from her family and friends. Most of our guests drove more than four hours to attend this special occasion and we were very lucky to have them there with us.
When we arrived at the church, we learned that the hot water heater went out. So the water was going to be freezing cold! I was little concerned for Daycee but she was very brave.
This is her with her daddy before she was baptized.
Before we got started Aunt Anna and her girls gave Daycee a special white towel to use when she got out of the water.

The baptism was so sweet. Harly gave a talk on why we are baptized and bearing her testimony. When it was time to go in the water Daycee stepped her foot in and shook her head no at her dad. So Dayson had to carry her over, put her in the water, quickly say the prayer, get the okay from the witnesses and than lifted her back out of the water and handed her to me. She had tears rolling down her face during the prayer and was crying as we changed beacuse her feet hurt so bad. After taking off the wet clothes and putting the white warm towel around her she bursted into laughter. She was so happy to be baptized and glad to be warm again. She than got dressed in her beautiful white dress that grandma Merrill made for her and we joined everyone else back in the room. Aunt Anna and Aunt Kristie had fun music planned for the little kids and I am so grateful to them for preparing this for Daycee's special day. We watched a video about Daycee from birth and than Carson gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. He did such a good job and is a natural born speaker and talk preparer. He always amazes me with his knowledge of the gospel. The baptism ended with Daycee receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

Our family
I just want to say thank you to everyone for coming and supporting Daycee on her special day. A big thanks to Rita and Rulon for getting the pizza's, Ginger and Mandy for making cake (I couldn't do a lot of things without my girlfriends!) Mom for making a cake, Sharlene for making the dress, Anna and Kristie for doing the music, Rita and Becky for hosting our families, and thank you to everyone for the nice gifts that Daycee and Adam received on Saturday. We are very lucky to have lots of family and friends who love and support us. We really missed having DeLona & Steve and their kids and Christine & Sean and their kids and Kelly & Darin and their kids.
